Care and Maintenance
Below is an overview of general care information. For detailed information about how to care for your specific product, please visit the supplier's website. A list of our suppliers can be found here.
Care for Cabinetry
Usually, a clean, soft cotton cloth or microfiber cloth for laminate and high gloss cabinetry dampened with warm water will do the trick!

For extra grime fighting, a mild solution of dishwashing liquid (not dishwasher products) mixed with fresh, clean, warm water will take care of dirt and grease. 5% dishwashing liquid to 95% water is a good ratio.

After cleaning your stained or painted cabinets, wipe them down with a clean, damp cloth and be sure to dry wet/damp surfaces with another clean soft cloth.

Laminates and high gloss materials MUST be dried with a microfiber cloth to avoid scratches.

Care for Granite and Quartz Countertops
Daily cleaning can be accomplished with clean, warm water with a mild dishwashing soap or products designed for natural stone. When using dish soap, avoid products with citrus or dyes. Window cleaning products should also be avoided. Some chemicals in household products can cause clouding and streaking in the polished finish of the stone in addition to reducing the effectiveness of sealers. Countertops should always be wiped dry after cleaning to also avoid clouding and streaking.

Mineral deposits can also form on your granite countertops, (even from softened water) most commonly around faucet fixtures. To remove, use a natural stone cleaner and #0000 steel wool. Fine steel wool does not contain any minerals or abrasive characteristics that would damage the stone.
Specific Products
It is important to keep your granite countertops sealed at all times. This is what prevents any bacteria or stains from penetrating your stone. Always re-seal your countertop when any liquid does not immediately bead on the surface. Bob's Wood Specialties and Credit River Granite provides everything you need to keep your new natural stone countertops shiny and protected. From oil removers to professional sealers, we have exactly what you need to keep your countertops in the best condition possible.
